I am an Assistant Professor at the CS Department of UT Austin. Before joining UT Austin, I was a postdoc scholar at UC Berkeley working with Prof. Aditya Parameswaran and earned my Ph.D. degree from the CS Department of UChicago, advised by Prof. Aaron Elmore. At UChicago, I'm also fortunate to work with Prof. Sanjay Krishnan and Prof. Michael Franklin.
I work on database systems and am broadly interested in many database topics, such as query processing and optimizations, data exploration, data compression, and cloud data management. Currently, I am interested in leveraging the advancements of machine learning and program language techniques to build next-generation data systems.
